Roma s Brazilian centre-back Juan could be set for a move back to South America, according to his agent Michael Gerbino.
The player has yet to appear for the capital club this season due to injury and recuperation from muscular problems, and Gerbino warns that there are other clubs looking to take on his services.
It is too soon to talk about it, but an offer from Brazil has already arrived, one that economically cannot be matched in Europe, the agent told calciomercato.com.
There has been talk in the Italian press linking the defender with a January move to Juventus, but Gerbino denied any truth to the speculation.
I do not know, maybe it is possible, but at the moment I am not working on it, he said.
Roma s next fixture is the Derby della Capitale against Lazio on September 16, and Juan is eager for a call-up, according to Gerbino.
I would say yes, (he is eager). By now it has been five weeks in which he has trained at full capacity and is ready to play, he said.
In football one can never speak of final straws, because things can change over time. But of course, if Luis Enrique kept him out again, it would signify that the choices were made and thus the coach should give an explanation.
But the agent was keen to stress that Juan is focused on remaining with the Italian club.
Juan, as you know, is a very serious man. He is fine at Roma and has a contract that ends in 2013, he said.
We are talking about a most important player. We all know his seriousness, his quality. During the summer he did extraordinary things to recover to his best to be at 100 per cent for this season.
Juan has been plagued with a number of injury issues over the past few seasons, missing the final three months of the 2009 campaign as well as much of Roma s 2010-11 campaign and all of the pre-season period this summer.
